Acknowledging the historic global consensus reached with the adoption of the universal 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in September 2015 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) it enshrines, the G20 has underlined its commitment to contributing to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. To this end, at the Hangzhou Summit in September 2016, the G20 has adopted an Action Plan on the 2030 Agenda.

This Task Force works on and offers expertise regarding the G20’s role for the future of the 2030 Agenda, addressing key issues such as national implementation plans and best practices, the role of international cooperation and options for monitoring and review.
